Welcome. This here is a place where myself and others can gather and type words that hopefully form coherent sentences of some worth (or not) ... [Blog-Home]
Aug 26 Web Design North Wales …Permanent Link
I’m a web designer living in North Wales. Just how difficult is it to get good search engine visabilty with Google / Yahoo etc. for keywords such as ‘web design north wales’ or ‘web designer north wales’ etc?
Could this very page, with it’s ‘Web Design North Wales’ page title and ‘Web Design North Wales’ heading be enough to get a high ranking? (Notice how I have put the words ‘north’ ‘web’ ‘wales’ and ‘design’ in bold – I hear that this is important also) ...
So what do I need to do? I hear that ‘web design north wales related’ link popularity is important, so does that mean it would be a good idea to link to these guys, this company, this one, or even this web site? Bah! I just don’t know.
What about other headings – an H1 tag containing keywords might be dandy. Like this for example:
Web Designer North Wales
Wow. Those are big letters. Search engine spiders are bound to see them.
A-ha! Maybe a poem is what’s required … ahem:
North Wales, web design
that’s so sublime, so very fine.
Web design, is what I do,
but I am not, top of google [for keywords such as ‘north wales web design’, an’ that]
Hmmm … could work.
One thing I don’t want to do, is do one of the those spammy pages that just crams in the words design, web, wales and north as many times as possible – as if that’s going to work! People that do that are out of their tiny ‘web-design-north-wales’ minds!
On second thoughts, I don’t think I’ll bother doing anything. Coming high up on google for ‘web design north wales’ just isn’t my style. Know what I mean?
I’m off to eat 2-5 biscuits.
(This post was brought to you in association with the words ‘web’, ‘design’, ‘north’, ‘wales’ and, last but not least, the wonderful word that is : ‘irony’. Oh aye!) ...

Hey www.kevadamson.com you north wales web design designer in north wales guy who I think used to know my sister Helen Spaull who’s not a web designer though did used to live in north wales and doesn’t really have much of an interest in webdesign either but does like design in general.
Anyway – I’m her big brother and I am a web designer in north wales who is just as bored of trying to get good google ranking with web design north wales – we should team up and burn all the other web designers web sites or at least take over north wales as a united front in north wales web design as everyone else is a bit crap to be quite honest!
Let’s have a coffee cause like minded web designers from north wales should stick together! Rob from the north wales web design and advanced digital media studio www.mediapod.co.uk that ‘specialises’ in video and 3D and all the other obligatory keywords/buzzwords/meta-tags and unlike most actually does do them and does them well and also does web design. And is also in north wales…
Hey we're number 3 now ;)
Didn’t know web designers were having trouble getting a position for this particular keyword. Guess I'll have to do some work and take the #1 spot ;)
@ Dave: Oh my. These are exciting times for Sypher Design. I suggest adding more text at an even smaller font size to your home page, perhaps in its very own table. I also can’t wait to read your next Photoshop tutorial entitled “How to move the cursor around the screen a bit”. Nah. I’m only jesting. Good luck in your pursuit of the top spot!
Thanks :P
By the way, whereabouts are you located?
“Could this very page, with it’s ‘Web Design North Wales’ page title and ‘Web Design North Wales’ heading be enough to get a high ranking?”
What do you class as high? 3rd page? If so, then YES! Congrats! :p
LOL!
Hmm www.google.com/search?...
Top of page 2? Above you (and your USP is SEO – oh the irony!)
What you must understand is that this article is a tongue in cheek post and nowhere else on the site do I heavily optimise my pages with ‘North Wales’ related keywords.
Here are my SEO successes: kevadamson.com/talking-of-design/rants/seo-yes-eo :)
I’ve had a little look around your site. “Astonishing” stuff, I must say …
