May 4 Property in Turkey?Permanent Link

I’ve got a little property website that I set up a few years back as a little experiment to help try and sell a mates property – the site is www.northwaleshomes.co.uk. The site is only small, has relatively few pages and is quite poorly coded (like I said, I did it a few years back!), but it does get a fair few visitors (around 18,500 unique visitors a year) so I can see some potential there for a nice little property resource to grow – perhaps with property news rss feeds, mortgage information, buyers guides etc. ... I need to research some more. it is certainly about time I did something with it though.

The research I have done has thrown up some surprising results. Various keyword suggestion tools have shown that for the keyword ‘Property’, the most popular search phrases other than the word ‘property’ itself are ‘property in turkey’ and ‘investment property in turkey’. Wow. Have I missed something here? What’s happening in Turkey at the moment? ...

I also here that Berlin is a good pick if you’re looking into investment property, but, actually, that was just a passing comment from a mate so: ‘pinch of salt’, as they say …

Talking of property, I’m sad to announce that the ‘Adamson family Villa’ is soon to be sold. The villa is called ‘Casa do Lirio’ (House of the Lilies) and is situated in the ‘golfer’s paradise’ that is the Algarve in south Portugal. The property has been run as a holiday accommodation business for about 15 years now also, but when there has been the odd week or so going spare, we have taken advantage and had many a joyess time with family and friends frolicking around in the holiday sun. Sigh …

It’s a beautiful place I’ll think you’ll agree – outdoor swimming pool, it’s own artificial putting green and golf hole (check out meritgolf.co.uk for more details – shameful promotion!) and an outdoor barbeque house. I’m hoping to get one more blast out there in June – work load and money permitting. T’will be missed though, aye …
